Bags that will fit into a Cessna 208

My plan was to pack in my backpacker backpack that I had on other trips where you need a soft bag that is easy to put on your back. We would just double-check if there was anything special to think of the current bag and luckily we did! There was a lot to consider except that the bag should be soft. We will fly with small safari plane called Cessna between some of the parks and the luggage space on these planes sets the frames. I thought it was just to buy any bag,  but it was not easy to find a suit, the bag should be quite low and long, let the search begin!

I started and did some research on duffelbags from different brands and to create some sort of order I have rated the different models. The overall grade is not based solely on the quality of the bag, I set parameters such as measurements, waterproofing and the ability to compress the bag as the most important. As you can see in the table, one of Fjällräven's bags is a fairly low grade, it's a very fine and qualitative bag, but when the pack volume becomes quite low, the measurements is not optimal and the bag's surface layer is not completely waterproof, so it goes further down the grading scale. The required dimensions provide a rather tight volume so I would also maximize it to accommodate as much packing as possible. The weight limit is no problem, when you get a total of 20kg, 15kg in checked luggage and 5kg hand luggage.

Finally i choosed this one:

It's really a bit too big but since it has compression straps around it's easy to adjust the dimensions, it's waterproof, padded shoulder straps that can be removed, and it has a good packing volume. I will use this bag on other occasions, on sailing and then it is never wrong to be able to pack a little extra. Since I'm a little worried about the measure and because i want to feel completely safe that the bag will fit the planes storage when we have packed it, I built a model of the storage space that we can use as a test for the bag, Just like the airline's hand luggage-test boxes you have to put the bag in :) I took a box and cut out so the surface corresponds to the dimensions required:

I bought the bag at Outdoorexperten who had a very good range of models and brands but also the best price level.

Now it's all about packing, we have set up a packing station on the living room table so we can evaluate everything back and forth. Do you have tips on what absolutely not to be missed or what you can easily leave at home, all tips it's very appreciated :)
